Tried getting help with a planning question about my property and it was nearly impossible to get through. Left a message and waited almost two weeks for a callback. When I finally connected, the person was actually helpful — no issue there. But the whole system feels designed to slow things down. When something affects your home and your finances you need answers faster than that. The planning department needs to be much more accessible.

Dealt with the planning department on a minor variance application and found it hard to get clear answers. Phone calls often went unreturned and it took multiple attempts to understand what was actually required. Irving was helpful when we did connect but the overall experience was slow and confusing for someone who doesn't deal with municipal planning every day. Homeowners shouldn't need a lawyer just to understand a process. More accessible communication and faster responses would go a long way.
