But the booking system is completely broken. You shouldn't have to fight this hard just to do a renovation the right way.

Getting an appointment took much longer than expected and when you have a contractor on site waiting, that delay costs real money — and with construction costs what they are right now, every day matters. The inspector was professional when he did show up and explained the code requirements clearly. But the scheduling backlog needs to be addressed. Homeowners doing things by the book deserve a faster turnaround.
